As somebody coming into theater from the outside, Nevius says he finds the whole process fascinating. “What you find is, you’ve done it so long for an audience of one and you’re pretty convinced you’ve got these laugh lines,” he reflects. “I modestly say it is pretty funny. But you know, sometimes you expect a big laugh and then there’s no big laugh. And sometimes you get a laugh where you didn’t expect to get a laugh, or a reaction you didn’t expect.”. It’s a humbling but rewarding experience.
