Ball co-founders and Fox Theatre owners Eric and Lori Lochtefeld decided it was the right time to present this community- themed evening of entertainment. The Dec. 14 gala was a true hometown event: The Parks and Recreation Department installed the gigantic clear vinyl tent with precision, and seven local restaurants provided a tasty variety of cuisine. In an interview this week Eric Lochtefeld said, “The inaugural Silicon Valley Ball was a tremendous success. We were most proud of the fact that everyone truly embraced the block party concept we were hoping to achieve. All four venues were packed and hopping all night long.”.
